Aanand L Rai defends decision to delete smoking-relate scenes from Manmarziyaan

Zero director Aanand L Rai spoke in defence of removal of three smoking-related scenes from Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. He believes that the exclusion of those scenes from the film doesn’t compromise with its essence. His response came after Anurag Kashyap expressed anger over removal of scenes without consulting him. He even criticised Kishore Lulla of Eros International for editing the film without seeking permission from the director.
