Uri: The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal starrer makes impressive opening, earns Rs 8 crore

Vicky Kaushal’s action drama film Uri: The Surgical Strike opened with thunderous numbers on Friday. The film directed by Aditya Dhar is based on the real life surgical strike carried out by Indian Army in 2016. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulhari in prominent roles. The film opened to mixed reviews from the film critics with most of them praising the excellent cinematography and Kaushal’s performance in the film. On it’s opening day itself, the film opened to impressive numbers, also considering the fact that it released on a non-Holiday working Friday. It also clashed with Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister, which on the other hand, did lukewarm business.
